About this artwork
This work belongs to my Empowerment series, which explores the fragile states of human identity and the silent strength that often hides beneath vulnerability. Through large-scale charcoal drawings, I reflect on themes of isolation, presence, and belonging.
The human figure becomes a symbol of inner resilience — suspended between absence and presence, yet quietly empowered. With this work, I invite the viewer to connect with that subtle, often overlooked… space where uncertainty transforms into strength.

Katarina Nedeljkovic is a painter and draftsman based in Serbia whose works have been exhibited nationally, in Germany, Denmark, United Kingdom, Japan, Portugal, Poland, Montenegro, and Bosnia & Herzegovina. She describes her artistic practice as arising from a need to reconsider the factors that affect the way we experience communication, examining the relationship of identity, as well as sexuality, issues, and the benefits of today's society.
