About this artwork
In Spring 2024 I did several meditative paintings, focusing on my past, letting feel all that came to the surface. I used a specific watercolour technik of layering washes and masking in a way, that I was not able to control the outcome. It was a subtle conversation with my unconscious. After several difficult topics this painting came as a healing and also to show me how far I have come. There is always healing after the periods of facing the hard…
topics. This time it came in the form of a playful, light-hearted meadow. If you look closely, you can see the glittering wings of fairies and other magical creatures that have come into the painting to fill it with divine joy. Every time I look at it, my heart fills with joy. The closely I look, more is revealed to me.
