« I am preoccupied with portraying a fleeting moment in time in an ever-increasing transient world. »
Kate Brett is an artist based in the United Kingdom who has exhibited her paintings nationally, as well as in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and the United States. She describes her work as portraying visual mind mapping, where she encourages the viewer to build a visual diary of a day, hour, minute, essentially, a snapshot. Brett also includes text in her compositions, as we so often subconsciously bombarded with advertising it has become part of our natural urban surroundings.
