About this artwork
Some mellow and glowing colours in a soft expressionist style. While I do paint in several different styles, expressionist is probably my preferred and is really all about the colours. Sometimes bright and bold and other times more subdued and both often inspired by things I see around me in nature or from my travels. This piece encompasses the glow of the sun and the green of things growing in the garden. There is also a companion piece if you are… looking for a pair or for a larger space.
Artwork is unframed however sides are painted continuous with the front with wire and d-rings ready to hang so framing is not specifically required. Any images showing framing are indicative only. It has the artist's name on the front, signed and stamped on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Kate Hessling, a self-taught painter and visual artist, draws from a background enriched by diverse creative influences and hands-on exploration with materials like clay and glass. She embraces an abstract expressionist approach, often veering into moody impressionist landscapes, working predominantly in large, loose compositions that evolve intuitively without constraint. Her artworks pulsate with freedom and vitality, inviting viewers to experience a soulful cleansing and a renewed sense of wonder.
