Water reveals so much, from a simple splash to what undulates under the surface. Into Depth captures a watery scene of fish maneuvering below, while the echo of a single sploosh stretches the tension of the surface. Working with Kate's fingers, she created darks and lights within the ripples by varying the pressure of her touch. Water has always held a sense of mystery for Kate, and painting Into Depth is a celebration of what can be revealed within.
