The work is a new art form: high-resolution abstract photographs - without digital alienation - embedded in a hand-worked steel frame with pictures behind acrylic glass, which makes the work unique. The work is unique in this form with a hand-signed certificate of authenticity. (More will not be created with these motifs.)
The work, designed as a self-contained trilogy, uses mixed media technology to create a universe of its own for the viewer.… From the photographs of a real, existing world, the artist creates something new that takes the viewer into her idea of a shimmering, mysterious sea world. In this way, the artist assigns a new interpretation to things that have their origin somewhere else, thereby taking the viewer with her into her art world, which is always characterized by philosophically questioning perspectives that also question our existence today.

Kathrin Sachse is a photographer based in Germany whose works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. Through her artistic practice, she explores and questions the elemental subject of life itself, with all of its various facets and adversities. Sachse blurs the boundaries between photography and reality, as well as painting and abstraction with the motto: the photographer as a graphic artist.
