About this artwork
Complex moody and energetic piece done with acrylic and mixed media on heavy paper. This piece reminded me of traffic in New York with all the concrete and yellow cabs.
I name my pieces by what occurred while painting the piece: what moved me, what struggles had to be overcome, my mood, my train of thought, what the piece reminded me of, sometimes a song that was on and the beat moved me or the lyrics influenced me in some way. I never intentionally… start out a painting saying “I’m going to do this, or I’m going to do that”. All of my pieces morph into something that is totally surprising and unexpected.
