A key piece in the development of the Wonderment Collection. So many ideas are held within this painting, it's almost like a notebook, jotting down colour combinations and shifts of light and energy lines so they wouldn't be lost or forgotten. Maybe too dark a painting for some but instrumental in what was to follow - because 'Abide' was painted, the Wonderment could be born.

Kathryn Thomas is a prizewinning British artist who has exhibited throughout the UK. Her paintings are inspired by the changing moods of natural phenomena: sometimes defined, sometimes hazy horizons, shades of dark and light, both cloudy and cloudless skies. Creating soft color combinations and engaging blurring effects, she seeks ultimately to create the most achingly beautiful paintings possible.
