About this artwork
A painting with a suggested elevated viewpoint - referencing another place, hopefully ethereal but importantly vital, energetic and 'alive'. The central focus of the composition of light is inspired by the idea that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, a positive message to explore as you travel around. The unusaul colour palette makes us feel this place is unfamiliar but could be a nice place to visit...oneday.

Kathryn Thomas is a prizewinning British artist who has exhibited throughout the UK. Her paintings are inspired by the changing moods of natural phenomena: sometimes defined, sometimes hazy horizons, shades of dark and light, both cloudy and cloudless skies. Creating soft color combinations and engaging blurring effects, she seeks ultimately to create the most achingly beautiful paintings possible.
