This image is from the artist's family vacation many years ago to California. After driving up the coast from Los Angeles they took the kids to the Redwood forest. Many people have a photo very similar to this if they visited the Redwoods. This is the artist's son, about 7 and daughter, around 12, balancing on a giant limb.
