About this artwork
“Phyllis’s Garden Sunny Day” is part of my “Phyllis’s Garden” series and was inspired by my neighbour Phyllis. She lived next door to me for a couple of decades and was a Master Gardner. Her artistry in creating the most amazing gardens over the years brought me much joy and also at times comfort. I painted many studies in her gardens over the years. I liked to paint the same scene at different times in the day and observe the changes in the colours.…
This one is based on one of my times in her garden when the wind was so gently moving the garden…like a dance.
