About this artwork
The painting "Sunbeams" depicts a bouquet of flowers located in the foreground. The flowers are of different sizes and colors, they are arranged in a chaotic order, creating a sense of naturalness. In the background, you can see a sunny day. Sunlight shines through the brunches of the bush , illuminating the flowers.
I used a palette knife to apply the first layer of paint. This helps to create texture and depth. Then I applied many layers of transparent… paint over the first layer. This helps to create a sense of light and air.
The garden and flowers are the main themes of my work. Because flowers are the greatest aesthetic pleasure and my inspiration, few things can be compared with the beauty of flowers and their colors.
Although I received an academic education in painting, for me it was always more important to convey the impression and emotion of the subject than the subject itself.
