About this artwork
This boat painting was derived from being on a year long adventure in my RV named Sia. We spent many months on the coast of British Columbia observing and sketching boats along the way. This fishing boat stood out to me as an assertive leader in its class with a very relaxed way to lead.

Kato Rempel is a prize-winning Canadian artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Her figurative works often embody a sense of longing for the unknown.
