About this artwork
Self-portrait: Id 🐍
Id connects to the impulse, pleasure, instincts, due to the Freud's theory of unconscious. Id contains of sexual and aggressive drives. It is a premitive part of a personality.
I made this self portrait with open pure colours and courage brush strokes without any mixing. I took as a sample my body art photoset with the idea of fears and disare. I wanted to continue it. Where do desire and sexual energy live?
Of course it lives… in our Id. Id wants now. Id doesn't know what is "no". Id is primitive animal behaviour. Like amphibia.
So i took a green colour to transfer this amphibian ghost from my unconscious and painted red eyes. Id watches and lives inside of me. Sometimes as a passion, sometimes as a fury.
A few days ago i had a dream. I saw a bleeding self-portrait, like an icon. The art is worked.
