Red Tree was inspired whist out walking on a recent trip to Norway.
When looking up from the base of the tree, the magnificent red pine trees reach high into the sky. Along with the sense of scale, Kay also wanted to visually express the wonderful fresh scent of the trees and oxygen dense air. She wanted to convey the sense of community, positivity and awe the trees emitted

Kay Bainbridge is a British figurative painter based in London. She has always had the ambition to paint from as early as the age of three, where she began to paint at nursery, experimenting with different combinations of colours. Following her MA in Illustration at Anglia Ruskin University, she has embarked on a career as an artist.
