About this artwork
Hermetic Beach Perspective consists of three paintings 100 x70 | 30 x 30 | 30 x 30.
Ideas come to me where ever I am, also in my sleep. Sometimes an idea just feels too urgent to let go. First my brains makes it into a mantra, then my fear of losing it starts to lighten up. I need to write it down, play it down or draw it down.
This morning on the bike I was longing to go to the beach and bit by bit this painting popped up in my mind and pushed… everything away.
Now I know it is one of the conclusions of a philosophical discussion with my wife about how we long to expand our horizon. The difference between the need to experience things outside ourselves for inspiration or for stuffing empty space.
