About this artwork
We like to use different mediums in one piece because it means you can describe visual elements in different ways, adding to the atmosphere and depth of the image. In some of these we have laid tissue paper onto canvas and stained the tissue paper with acrylic wash to create a background onto which we can lay the various elements. Again we trying to offer a slanted perspective on any given subject which allows the viewer to construct their own stories…

KEELERTORNERO is the result of the combined talents of Chin Keeler and Emma Tornero, artists based in the United Kingdom. Their paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy and Norway. With polar styles, their collaboration allows for the impossible to merge as something completely natural. In their compositions, characters play a vital role in an "all-encompassing illusory world" of dreams and hallucinations are inhabited by strange and fantastical creatures.
