About this artwork
In crafting this piece, I plunged into the vibrant juxtaposition of chaos and harmony. With every brushstroke and ink line, I sought to capture a dynamic equilibrium, merging the wildness of acrylic with the precision of pen work. This abstract experiment on paper is meant to invoke a sense of boundless energy and emotion, designed to resonate with the observer's innermost thoughts. It's an artwork that embodies an eclectic aura, meant to enliven…
any space with its spirited essence.

« Always working instinctively following my senses changing over the years. »
Kees Ouwens is a painter and sculptor based in Mexico whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States, South Korea, Germany, and Japan. Through his diverse abstract pieces, he hopes that viewers "sense something instinctively inside of them without necessarily understanding". For Ouwens, art allows for freedom. He sculpts using stone and marble. His painterly compositions are most often created using acrylics and pens on paper or cardboard.
