About this artwork
Deep in the Elk Mountains of Colorado lies the sparkling water in this small falls. I remember her and the cold water which flows down the mountain gracefully. Wind whispers through the spruce, and mountain sparrows chirp. I painted it entirely from memory, and I recall alive again the beautiful chatter of the deep forest.

Kent Sullivan is an award-winning American artist whose works have been exhibited nationally and in Japan. His representational compositions are made with traditional oil painting techniques with a contemporary perspective. Sullivan describes his art as being not nearly as philosophical as optical. He believes that "looking is the key", and that true seeing is both the price and the payment for authenticity and beauty in life.
