About this artwork
Drawing on childhood memories of growing up in an ex-mining town, when the demise of previously thriving industries of Collieries, Potteries, Pipeworks and Brickworks were all too prominent, Kerri reconnected with her home county of Derbyshire to produce a series of paintings referencing traces of industrial heritage. Inbox is one of her favourite pieces from the series, representing a fragment from another time and evoking a sense of place.

Kerri Pratt is a visual artist currently based in the East Midlands of the UK. Initially quitting her education, she returned years later, achieving a first class honours degree at the University of Derby. Her acrylic paintings are a personal response to the people and environments that surround her.
