Kerri’s practice focuses on an exploration of painting processes, manipulation of paint, surfaces, marks and colour with an intention to produce “something that has an element of familiarity to intrigue and engage the viewer without fully revealing itself.” Inspired by travel or encounters with new places, Kerri’s paintings have reference to curious spaces in man-made, industrial and urban landscapes. Kerri Pratt is a visual artist currently based in the East Midlands of the UK. Initially quitting her education, she returned years later, achieving a first class honours degree at the University of Derby. Her acrylic paintings are a personal response to the people and environments that surround her.
