About this artwork
What was born out of mark making and colour theory experiments on paper, eventually became a new series of work.
This work is inspired by a few micro-dosed creative sessions at the studio. Echoing the late 60s and early 70s design and psychedelic culture, the process of creation has served as a reflective practice, striving for balance and optimism in a chaotic world.
This series is part of more than a decade long exploration of line and geometric… abstraction.

« My painting in mural and studio art joins portraiture with abstract art. I trace my influences and inspiration to a multitude of forces, including psychology, music, travel, and cultural/ethnic diversity. »
Kevin Ledo is a Canadian artist who has exhibited nationally, as well as in the Netherlands, France, and the United States. Primarily a painter, half of his time is dedicated to creating large-scale murals. Ledo is interested in exploring the constructs of what forms and constitutes a person's character. He explores human psychology through portraits, movement, abstract forms, color, and texture. His studio works are created using acrylics and oil, as well as spray paint and gold leaf.
