About this artwork
The artwork "James Franco" comes from Wilczewski's "FACES" series and was created in 2014 together with the work "Rihanna" as one of his first pictures in Pop Art style. The artist chose James Franco, who is considered one of the most important US actors of our time, as the motif. In his "FACES" picture series, Kevin Wilczewski dealt with the classic themes of Pop Art. An elementary feature of this style are the often trivial motifs, known from everyday… popular culture, media and advertising.
Wilczewski's works can be found in collections of art lovers in Germany, Austria and the USA.
« With my portraits, I put the desire for beauty in the foreground, showing how ephemeral it can be, and helping to change the way we view our behavior. »
