About this artwork
This project consists of paintings written in the direction of Contemporary Realism, relevant to me at the moment. Multicolored pixels, as a visual technique, came from the digital era and in my works becomes a new means for rethinking the classical pictorial approach.
Together with the traditional realistic image, as well as spontaneously arising spots of spaces, pixels become the third component of this method.
The image is built on this symbolic… system and becomes the basis for compositional solutions.
Realistic painting becomes in my works a metaphor for the "human", individual perception of the real world. Chaotic losses, white failures, cut this reality in its independent system. This contrast serves to me as the spokesman for the idea of a collision between the human and the transcendent, which lies beyond the limits of human cognition.

« Indulging in art is a sort of religious experience for me, a sacrament that develops and enriches… and nourishes the soul. »
Khatagti Alan is an established Russian painter, draftsman and sculptor whose works have featured in prizes and exhibitions nationally. Influenced by his youth spent beside the majestic Caucasus Mountains and Georgia Pass, he harnesses the special brightness present there, along with the colours of nature and emotions of people, to transport surreal contrasts to his own paintings. His finished pieces showcase fascinating technical tensions, curious collisions of opposites and rich pictorial surfaces.
