About this artwork
The surrealist landscapes are an aesthetic strategy to question the history of women in art, perceptions of gender and the tension between mankind and nature.
This painting reflects my love of German expressionism and surrealism.
The negative spaces between the women are each different landscapes to reflect different psychological realities from different perceptions. This is a psychological landscape of my inner world, while considering what is,… what could be and what I want to create in the future.
I made this painting with high quality oil paints and professional stretcher bars. I also used many transparent layers of oil paint, which create dense rich colors which really glow in person.
The painting is signed and dated on the back and includes wire for easy hanging.
