I create the image in high-resolution digital format using numerous motif and shot layers that intertwine using complex techniques. It is then printed on canvas by a professional service provider as a unique, gallery-quality piece, and I hand-sign it.
Klaus Damm is an interdisciplinary artist and composer. Starting from series of highly abstract montages from his photographic works (“visi-graphs”), Klaus Damm creates under the label “visible-music” both large-format panel paintings and multi-layered “video-visi-graphs” with his electronically realized music. Klaus Damm's work is inspired by myth and personal transformation. His works open up emotional dimensions of experience and invite the viewer to their own processes of self-discovery. His visual arts training took place under the Informel painter Hans-Jürgen Schlieker at the MZ of Ruhr University Bochum. He studied composition at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen with Nicolaus A. Huber and Dirk Reith, following studies in musicology, German studies, and philosophy in Bonn and Bochum.
