About this artwork
Inspired by the Russian painter Kazimir Malevich, the artist also created a series of seemingly black squares in oil on canvas, which he complemented with a sensitively constructed structure of lines on a light background. These paintings captivate with the radical nature of the geometric composition and only reveal their secrets upon closer inspection.

Klaus Feuchtinger is an established German painter with a strong love for France and Italy. His predominantly abstract works are characterized by a dense color palette. Feuchtinger creates his painterly messages with broad and sweeping brushstrokes. But he also likes to take "excursions" into a representational style of painting, which also comes close to surrealism. He sees his paintings as "inventions" whose exploration and interpretation he likes to leave to the viewers of his paintings.
