« My sculptures are neither heroes nor images of human figures, but mirrors of our selves. »
Klaus Schwendner is a sculptor based in Germany whose works have been exhibited nationally and in Czechia. His artistic practice focuses on the human, their mostly naked figures depict neither age nor social positon, which prevents them from refering to a certain context. Schwendner creates intuitively in a process that is marked by unpredictablity and chance. He exclusively employs wood and sculpts with a chainsaw.
