Who knows why, it's the music from the Rugrats© credits that comes to me when I look at this painting. It tastes like a bowl of chocolate milk cereal greedily gulped down at 5 p.m. The smell of cardboard is quickly thrown into a corner upon arrival. The soft touch… of the big buttons on the heavy remote control.
The splash refers to the subtle charm of spontaneity, to what is not perfect but presents a fascinating crazy attitude.
As for the checkerboard, you will have understood, it is for me THE inspiring pattern of the moment. I love its timeless elastic rigor and playful symbolism.
