About this artwork
In my work "STROM LECK" I connect the past and the present. The aluminum ring represents a circuit, the yellow slot insulators symbolize the points at which energy is transferred or stopped. Using the old typewriter keys, I form the words "POWER" and "LEAK" and an arrow to indicate the fleeting nature of communication and technological progress. This art piece reflects what we lose when energy and meaning pass from one form to another.
