Koray Akay is an established Turkish sculptor who has exhibited his work internationally. His love for art began as a child, when he would design and recreate his own toys. Today, his primary focus is on presenting the synthesis between East and West, communicating this through a range of themes including political, environmental and spiritual topics. Akay mainly works with wood, allowing its unique energy to guide him, but also frequently experiments with new techniques to endow each artwork with a fresh expression.
