About this artwork
This doll is a part of my series called “Colors,” inspired by Pride Month and my first summer in Berlin.
I moved here in 2019, and Christopher Street Day really touched me — so open, so full of people just being themselves.
Each doll in the series is the same size and shape, but wears a different color from the Pride flag. “Yellow” is for sunlight.
A brighter color, but the face is still thoughtful. Sometimes light shines even through sadness.…
I made this doll by hand from polymer clay, with fabric clothes and wool hair.
It is not a toy, but a piece of art, with its own quiet story.
For more stability, a small stand might be helpful.

Koshmak, a Ukrainian-inspired dollmaker and sculptor, harnesses her psychology background.
