About this artwork
Born from a collaboration between KREES and Kokou Sevanon, two colorful universes where each has its own color identity.
They stage life.
From the period of planetary confinement and difficulties that the world went through, the butterfly reflects this essential desire for freedom.
The survival of the species depends on this hope of life and color.
The past is behind us and it is our duty to hope and to pay attention to the fragility of life.…
This color-saturated diptych is the result of life on earth. We find the green-red and black of Kokou and the many colors of KREES.
A harmony of colors is offered to the spectators.

« Painting is about our humanity. »
KREES is an award-winning artist based in France whose paintings have been nationally and in Italy. She describes her art as following two lines of work, one being an intuitive search for form and color, while the other is a quest for the sacred that is portrayed through symbols, messages, and colors. KREES's distinctive fusion of surrealism with cubism is manifested through acrylics and oils on linen or wood.
