About this artwork
Worn and Torn is a derivative and ongoing series of my 'Disjointed Reality' series and is rooted in a primal understanding that any form, shape or object (or a person for that matter) whether worn or torn due to life's circumstances that happen upon them, there is still beauty coming through.
On purpose I take the original matrix/image of the first session of the painting or what I would consider my experience, memory or situation, and I weather… it or manipulate it in order to give it a worn & torn look. Then in colored sections, I enhance the image to change the perception of the experience of the original matrix piece.
