About this artwork
This piece consists of a mountain landscape. It is a collage of handmade papers from Japan, Thailand and elsewhere, gold foil leaf, rice paper sculpted in relief and acrylic paint/mediums. A small shape suggesting an eagle is the focal point of the piece, inspired by life in the Rocky Mountains of the American West.
Edges are painted, no framing necessary. Artwork is lit from behind with commercial grade LED lights, to allow the work to be… viewed in daylight, and also in darkness.
This piece has been featured in advertising to bring awareness and raise funds for Colorado conservation efforts.
