About this artwork
An original oil seascape painting of shells and shell fragments scattered in a tidal pool. This is the 5th in her series of tide pool paintings. The paintings in this collection are inspired by tidal pools in Mangawhai, New Zealand. This area is rich with sea life and the shells are plentiful. The lava rock tide pools are in a large outcropping at the end of the beach. She was there one day with her family and their 2 dogs. They were enjoying…
the scenery and she was exploring the tide pools. They were so beautiful that she decided to start a series of large scale works of the shells in the tide pools.
