Léa Valmain is an award-winning painter, draftsman, and sculptor whose works have been exhibited in her native France. Her research concerns illusion and reality. Valmain continuously asks herself, "what do I see and what do I believe to be true?". Her compositions pertaining to shadows cast by scalpel cuts illustrates that, depending on the place of the viewer, the distance they have with the piece, and the light of the moment, the motif changes.
