About this artwork
The young woman, Katya, is the owner of the cat Schrödinger had in mind when developing his experiment. She now knows the power of her view of reality.
The title "Black Cat.exe" introduces the idea of the executable file, as if the cat were a program, subject to the uncertain rules of the universe. Katya is both observer and observed, while the cat oscillates between existence and nothingness, enclosed in a box as real as it is illusory.

L. Joss develops a pictorial practice centered on the human figure and the conditions of its presence.
Trained in a demanding approach to representation, his work has gradually shifted its focus towards areas of instability, where the continuities of reality fragment. His recent paintings introduce distortions that affect both space and perception, as if reality itself were becoming uncertain.
At the boundary between matter and consciousness, his work engages painting in a field of tension where the visible is no longer sufficient.
Painting, therefore, no longer consists of representing reality, but of experiencing its formation.
