About this artwork
The title of this work is none other than the color of the pigment used: Prussian blue. Worked in opacities and transparencies with a simple and recurring line pattern, solid areas on the background and areas of structured / unstructured rhythms, the raw or diluted paste offers us all its depth. This canvas with primitive accents in the treatment plunges us sometimes into the waves, sometimes into deep ocean currents and lights up or darkens differently…
throughout the day depending on the light.

France
« Every day, I quietly brush away my balances, my sensitivity, my imagination and I dream of touching the other. This is the life that I have chosen and that has chosen me, forever. »
LABB is a painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her favorite themes pertain to nature, as well as the place of humanity in nature. LABB expresses these topics through the depiction of veins, roots, vines, and entanglements in order to reflect on our ties, hindrances, dependencies, servitudes, and isolations. She primarily creates using oils on canvas.
