About this artwork
This contemporary minimalist abstract work presents an original horizontal format. Worked in opacities and transparencies with a simple and recurring line pattern, areas of flat tints on the background and areas of structured/unstructured rhythms, the raw or diluted paste offers us all its depth. This canvas with primitive accents in the treatment immerses us in a poetic evocation of an arid and desert landscape. It lights up or darkens differently…
throughout the day depending on the light. Everyone is free to interpret it as a simple landscape, a symbolic horizon line or any other relationship to the Sepia beige-khaki, the only pigment used in its development in addition to titanium white.
The canvas is signed lower right and surrounded by a beige strap allowing it to be presented as is at a minimum.

« Every day, I quietly brush away my balances, my sensitivity, my imagination and I dream of touching the other. This is the life that I have chosen and that has chosen me, forever. »
LABB is a painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her favorite themes pertain to nature, as well as the place of humanity in nature. LABB expresses these topics through the depiction of veins, roots, vines, and entanglements in order to reflect on our ties, hindrances, dependencies, servitudes, and isolations. She primarily creates using oils on canvas.
