About this artwork
The inspiration for this artwork is the reflection of a chandelier. The museum in Zwolle has some historic rooms. In one if those rooms i took pictures from under a chandelier. This is the inspiration for this painting . That is also the reason the painting is exposed as diamond shape. A little joke from the painter is the small angel he painted in the painting in the top the painting. The angel was there on the ceiling from were the chandelier…

Lambert Oostrum is a gifted Dutch artist who has been nominated for numerous prizes throughout the Netherlands. Inspired by personal experiences and in particular by facets of landscapes, he composes oil paintings - interchanged with digital sketches - to create works marked by bold colour, oozing shapes and a touch of mystery.
