About this artwork
If we ignore the perception of bullfighting as cruel entertainment, then we can see in it an similarity to universal existence. Bullfight is an allusion of confrontation between 2 forces – a rough aggressive pressure, and ability to repel the blow of the enemy and use it against himself. Decisive action determine the outcome of this elegant duel only in its end. In general, they are not so opposed to each other. Bullfight is a kind of pair dance…
– its participants diverge and converge. The silhouette of a bull is located in such a way that it creates the impression that the bullfighter and the bull are dancing. The bull allows his partner to force himself to run on an imaginary target in the form of a rag, and the bullfighter, in turn, puts himself in danger of being crushed by embodiment of rage in the form of a bull. Bullfighting always happens only in the presence of spectators, because any process exists only in the mind of the observer.
