Nature lives its usual life. The sun shines brightly in the blue sky. Mountain peaks touch the heavens majestically. Nothing foreshadows the coming event. But gradually the sunlight begins to wane. Damage appears on the right edge of the Sun. It slowly…
increases, and the solar disk takes the form of a crescent, convex to the left. The darkness deepens. It's getting colder. Finally, the last ray of sunshine is extinguished, and twilight falls on the entire surrounding area. This was a total solar eclipse. In place of the extinguished luminary, a black disk is seen, surrounded by a silvery pearl glow.
