About this artwork
Amphora" is an evocative piece that captures the viewer's imagination with its fluid forms and captivating blue hues. The painting depicts an ancient amphora, subtly illuminated from within, creating a dreamlike and almost otherworldly glow. Shades of blue invoke the depths of the ocean and the mysteries of the ancient world. The smooth, flowing lines within the amphora suggest organic forms, perhaps aquatic creatures, adding to the surreal and fantastical…
quality of the piece. This artwork invites contemplation and wonder, making it a striking addition to any collection. Ideal for those who appreciate abstract and surreal art with a touch of classical elegance.

« For me, there's no point in making art if it doesn't make my blood pump a little faster. »
Lance Hewison is an award-winning artist based in Germany whose paintings have been exhibited in England and the United States. He cites the human form as being central to his work, especially the expression and drama of the face. Hewison does not convey messages through his compositions. Rather, he places importance on allowing viewers to "enter" into his art, inviting them to create their own narratives.
