About this artwork
It was interesting to watch the seagulls. It was quite a cold and windy day. The seagulls stood quietly and looked towards the wind, waiting for something, maybe the low tide, when they could feast on fresh shrimps or shellfish. Silver, cold waves rolled onto the wet purple sand and the pink cloudy sky gave the North Sea so many playful reflexes that it was funny to watch this whole scene of sea waves and reckless seagulls.
I took a picture of this… scene and enjoyed transferring it to my canvas. The North Sea has so many stories..
