About this artwork
I painted this after some time on the beaches of Hilton Head, South Carolina. There was one overcast evening at sundown where the blue grey sky looked beautiful against the sand being washed up by the low tide.

« I paint to try and express being immersed in a world. Its my attempt to cross the wall of inner and outer worlds and find oneself a body that thinks through movement, colors and sound. »
Larry Gomez is an experienced artist from the United States whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. Practicing art ever since childhood, Gomez explores the meaning of being through the use of color in his abstract works. He calls his artistic method "geostracts" because he is influenced by the earth and natural processes that result in rhythmic patterns and gestural movement on the canvas.
