About this artwork
In this work I wanted to depict the contrast between light and shadow, between harmony and confrontation. The two fighting fish - one in dark tones, the other in fiery red - symbolize opposing forces that attract each other and are at the same time in tension. The golden background reinforces this contrast and gives the scene an almost mythical depth, as if the fish were caught in an endless cycle.
The dynamic brushstrokes and the golden splashes… represent movement and energy that bring the picture to life. It is about balance: black and red, calm and aggression, chaos and order. The viewer should ask themselves whether the fish are fighting or dancing - whether opposites in nature are destructive or necessary to create balance.
