About this artwork
Sunlight reflections dancing on gently moving water. I was inspired to create this series of sparkling water when I was out on my paddleboard and found myself transfixed by the glittering sunlight on the water's surface.
This piece was created by layering many thin layers of oil paint (glazes), allowing for the transparency of the paint to create depth and translucency very reminiscent of water.
All of my works are created with environmentally friendly… oil paints in my home studio in California. The image is continued on the sides of the canvas, which allows for the canvas to be hung as it is, or with a frame. The painting will arrive ready to hang, with hanging wire.
