Warm earth tones, coppery reds, and fleshy pinks form a dense, textured field, animated by vigorous palette-knife gestures. Flashes of yellow emerge like bursts of light, interrupting the heavier mass of color and creating a dynamic push–pull across the surface.
Bold black lines cut through the composition in sweeping, instinctive movements. They… intersect, collide, and overlay the painted matter like traces of force, mapping the invisible trajectories of tension and release. These gestural marks evoke both automatic writing and structural frameworks, balancing spontaneity with underlying order.

Laura Buruiana is a multidisciplinary artist and internationally acclaimed concert cellist of Romanian origin, based in France — a cellist by day and a painter by night.
