« Through my works, I would like to be able to express what it means to be a woman in the present time. »
Laura Corre is an artist based in Italy whose paintings have been exhibited both nationally and in France. Her figurative works center around female subjects which are often connected with nature, translating her vulnerability but also her strength. Corre is also fascinated by themes relating to anatomy, psychology, and mortality. She speaks of the "impermanence and fleetingness of existence", as well as the private and social identities of women linked with gender equality.
